The "Excess Bodega Bike" collects and then spins the food waste for composting at a local park or garden.
We actually picked this one up from 3rd Ward, an interesting art/craft/small business collaborative in Brooklyn. It’s called the Urban Food Rescue Project, incubated by Brooke Singer and Ricardo Miranda Zuniga. You, too, can own a composting bike, partner with a community garden (perhaps the Liz Christy Garden?) and contribute to a movement of sustainable urban living. We already know The Smile is composting their restaurant waste.
