Jones Diner Site to Be Developed – See July 2016 Update

jones-diner-siteTo many of NoHo this oil painting by John Baeder brings back some joyous as well as painful memories. Olmstead Properties has finally leased the Jones Diner site that has stood vacant for more than 13 years after his unceremonious vacate of George Serkizis and his beloved diner.  So now what?

The Jones Diner site at 363 Lafayette St. has been long-term leased to CBSK Ironstate for a new commercial development financed by Wells Fargo.  The principals of CBSK Ironstate include Charles Blaichman, Abe Shnay, Scott Shnay, Greg Russo and the Barry Family.

“They will build something special and unique to bring a cool vibe to the neighborhood,” said Stephen Shapiro of JLL, who along with colleague Richard Baxter represented Olmstead Properties in arranging the 49-year ground lease with extension options.

While the 5,500-square-foot site may only be developed with a petite 32,000 square feet, its location between tony Bond and Great Jones streets in Noho bumped the remuneration to a fat $150 million.
