Safe Disposal scheduled for Sunday, September 25th, from 10am to 4pm at Union Square, North Plaza.
The event includes safe disposal for automotive products, electronics (not appliances), household products (paint, light bulbs, spray cans, solvents) or medical items.
Electronics are the largest and fastest growing component of hazardous waste sent to landfills. If your building has 10 or more units, and you want to do an electronics collection drive, you can call NYC Dept of Sanitation and arrange a pick-up through their e-cycle program. When ready for service, simply call (212-437-4647) or email us (e-cycleNYC@dsny.nyc.gov). They will guarantee pick up in three business days for bin removal.
OR you can bring them to BestBuy, Staples, Goodwill or The Salvation Army for recycling.
