In response to a variety of press reports and letters implying that the NoHo NY BID is advancing on their expansion plan, 20 of the largest NoHo/Bowery property owners gathered in late October to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of BID membership as well as the most pressing issues facing this area. Unanimously, they concluded that the BID and its proposal does not fit the needs of NoHo east of Lafayette or along The Bowery. Read the NoHo/Bowery Stakeholders letter to Commissioner Walsh, here.
We are embarking on a campaign to solicit opinions and suggestions about how to better define and manage our neighborhood.
We have provided an online petition in order to make it more clear to Community Board#2, Borough President Stringer and the NYC Council that this proposed BID expansion is NOT favored.
