Catching Up…Keeping Up with NoHo is a full-time endeavor these days.  On the development front there are 11 projects that have been recently approved or scheduled for hearing:

18-24 Bleecker St. (former church):  This development is scheduled for  CB#2 Landmarks Committee on Monday, April 29th.  Application is to install door, a canopy, marquee and flagpoles and banner.

36 Bleecker: (Stillman Development) City Planning Commission zoning variance pending.  20 units – all residential.  CB#2 Zoning Committee hearing, May 9th.

8, 10-12 Bond St, aka 358-364 Lafayette St:  7-stories including set-back penthouse, 12 units in all incl maisonette on Bond St. side. One groundfloor merchant (no SLA license). EPA Remediation underground in progress.

730 Broadway/425 Lafayette St.: Application for change of use to amend the M1-5b zoning for Use Group 3.  Use Group 3 provides for Undergraduate Classroom Use not otherwise allowed in our current zoning.  NoHo-Bowery Stakeholders Inc was able to successfully negotiate an agreement signed by NYU and accepted by the BSA that would limit classroom use to no more than 20% of the usable FAR (netting a 240,000 sq ft reduction in potential undergraduate classroom use) .  All other uses for the building are as-of-right in an M1-5b zone.  Any future change in the zoning for this property will have to be the subject of a new BSA application and approval process.

25 Great Jones/22 Bond St., (SDS Development):  BSA orders reduction in height.  New plan – residential.  Maisonette on the Bond St. side.  Architect is now BKSK.  More to come.

37 Great Jones St. :  Landmarks has approved moderate design changes, BSA application for residential use is pending.

45 Great Jones, (BFC Partners):  7-stories including roof-top penthouse.  LPC approved.  BSA Application pending (77-13-BZ) for variance to comply with LPC ruling to increase height of street-wall.  No change in FAR.  Agreement for no SLA licensed merchant in ground-floor retail,  CB#2 Zoning Committee approved.  BSA hearing pending.
